Will improper maintenance shorten their lifespan? These details should be noted
The service life of a household cylindrical vacuum cleaner largely depends on daily maintenance. Ignoring several key details may lead to a decrease in suction power, an increase in noise, or even motor damage. Only by doing a good job of maintenance can it work efficiently for a long time.
Cleaning the dust bucket is fundamental. After each use, dust should be emptied in time to prevent dust accumulation and clogging of the filter screen. Rinse the dust bucket with clean water every week (if it is a paper filter screen, take it out and wash it again), dry it and then reinstall it to prevent moisture from breeding bacteria. The filter screen needs to be replaced or cleaned regularly: It is recommended to replace the HEPA filter screen every 1 to 3 months (depending on the usage frequency). For washable filter screens, rinse them with clean water once a week and let them dry completely before use; otherwise, a damp filter screen will affect the suction power.

The pipette tips and hoses are prone to dirt accumulation. The hair on the roller brush needs to be cleaned each time. You can use the small blade or scissors provided to gently cut it off to avoid excessive entanglement that may cause excessive load on the motor. If the small hole of the gap pipette tip is blocked by debris, it can be cleared with a toothpick or a thin iron wire. If the hose sucks in sticky dirt (such as soup or jam), it should be rinsed with clean water in time (after confirming that the model is compatible), or wiped from the inside with a cloth dipped in neutral detergent, and then dried before use.
Motor maintenance should be carried out by keeping it away from moisture and heat. Do not use the vacuum cleaner to suck up liquids (unless it is clearly marked as dry and wet dual-purpose), nor use it for a long time in a humid environment to prevent water from entering the motor and causing a short circuit. After use, do not store it immediately. Let the motor cool down for 10 to 15 minutes before putting it back in storage to avoid heat accumulation and accelerated aging. When not in use for a long time, the power cord should be fully unfolded for storage to prevent the copper wire inside the bend from breaking.
If you notice a sudden drop in the suction power of the Vacuum Cleaner, abnormal noise or overheating of the body, you should immediately stop using it for inspection. Do not force its use. By paying attention to these maintenance details, the service life of a household cylindrical vacuum cleaner can usually reach 5 to 8 years, nearly double that of models that are neglected in maintenance.
