Three key points for Daily maintenance of industrial cylindrical vacuum cleaners

2025-08-12

The working environment of industrial cylindrical vacuum cleaners is harsh. If they are not properly maintained, problems such as reduced suction power and frequent malfunctions are very likely to occur. By doing well in these three maintenance points, the service life of the equipment can be prolonged and the cleaning efficiency can be kept stable.

The filter screen should be cleaned and replaced in a timely manner. The concentration of pollutants in industrial environments is high, and the filter clogging speed is much faster than that of household models. In workshops with a lot of dust, it is recommended to clean the filter every day (by blowing back with compressed air or beating it), and thoroughly clean it once a week. In scenes with heavy oil stains, inspections should be conducted every shift. If oil stains are found adhering to the filter screen, they should be immediately cleaned with a dedicated cleaner to prevent the grease from solidifying and becoming difficult to remove. When the filter screen reaches its service life (usually about 500 hours of cumulative operation), it must be replaced. Do not continue to use it to save costs - a clogged filter screen will increase the load on the motor and may cause the motor to burn out. The maintenance cost is much higher than the price of the filter screen.

The maintenance of the dust bucket and the suction tip must be in place. After each time the metal dust bucket is emptied of dust, the inner wall should be rinsed with a high-pressure water gun to remove any remaining dirt. If corrosive substances have been stored there, they should be wiped with neutral detergent to prevent the inner walls from rusting. The wear and tear of the pipette tip should be inspected regularly: If there is a notch in the metal pipette tip, it should be ground smooth in time to avoid scratching the hose. When too many bristles on the brush tip fall off, it should be replaced; otherwise, it will affect the cleaning effect. If the hose is punctured by a sharp object, it needs to be repaired or replaced immediately. Even a tiny hole can cause a decrease in suction.

The motor and circuit system should be protected from damage. Before each use, check if the power cord is damaged and if the plug is loose to avoid the risk of electric leakage. If abnormal noise from the motor or overheating of the machine body (exceeding 60℃) is detected during operation, the machine should be stopped immediately for cooling and it should be checked whether the problem is caused by clogged filter screens or foreign objects getting stuck. After use in a damp environment, the machine cover should be opened to allow the motor to air dry naturally to prevent internal components from getting damp and short-circuiting. When not in use for a long time, the equipment should be placed in a dry and well-ventilated area. Power it on and run it for 10 minutes every month to prevent the motor bearings from rusting.

The maintenance principle for industrial cylindrical vacuum cleaners is "frequent inspection and early handling" - only by resolving minor issues in their infancy can we prevent equipment from "breaking down" and affecting production, ensuring that the cleaning work remains efficient and orderly at all times.
